A very special day today for Baylor Scott and White Health and th+a. Today, doors opened for the for a preview of the new Canine Companions for Independence Kinkeade Campus in Irving.
Operations are in progress with the inaugural training class graduating the next day.
In a collaboration between Baylor and Canine Companions for Independence, the largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs, the campus will be a premier animal training center to serve the region and improve the quality of life for many people in the North Texas area who have a developmental or physical disability.
In 2013, th+a was selected to design the new campus. To date the Baylor Health Care System Foundation has raised more than $7 million to fund the center.
